These Armored Cable Extensions with Connectors were originally designed for use with Pull Apart switch sets but are versatile enough to be used with various industrial and overhead contacts.
When longer cable runs are needed, the 25’ extensions offer a straightforward solution. The 8235-3 and 8231-3 combined create a complete security loop with armored cable.
Using the 8230-25 extensions between the 8235-3 and 8231-3 increases the overall length in 25’ increments. This setup allows for a disconnect near the equipment you want to remove, avoiding the need to thread cables through each item repeatedly. For applications such as bicycle displays, golf carts, lawn equipment, truck docks, or movable merchandise, route the cable to secure products and wire to a designated zone on the security panel. Thread the cable through spokes, wheels, and other natural openings to secure the products.
When the alarm zone is armed and there is a breach in the line (due to cutting, disconnecting, or pulling apart), an alarm condition will be triggered.
