Our Shielded Indoor/Outdoor CAT6 UV Resistant Cable provides the optimal solution for your outdoor voice, data, video and security networking applications. Common applications for this type of cable include retrofitting installations which rely on exterior cable runs that are exposed to heat or sunlight. This cable is ideal for extending cable runs from the point of entry to the interior of the premise to the specified device(s). Whether you’re undertaking wiring projects for your home, office, or an extensive campus, we have the perfect network solution tailored to your requirements.
This Shielded, Indoor/Outdoor, CAT6, UV Resistant cable features 8 conductors (4-Pairs) of solid bare copper with a high density polyethylene (HDPE) insulation and a CMX/CMR rated PVC Jacket. Our Category 6, Shielded, CMX/CMR, Indoor/Outdoor, UV Resistant Cable is designed for residential indoor and outdoor LAN applications and is resistant to cracking after UV exposure, making it the ideal solution for installation runs that require the cable to be exposed to the elements. This cable contains the same UV-blocking compounds as our direct burial cable and features a black jacket in order to prevent sunlight damage to the cable. Additionally, this cable has a tinned copper drain wire which grounds the electricity after it has been terminated. This drain wire is required on all shielded cable in order to prevent signal loss, cross-talk, and other performance issues. Our Shielded CAT6 Indoor/Outdoor cable is tested to perform up to speeds of 600MHz.
To ensure the supply of high-quality bulk Ethernet cables, our cables have to meet and/or exceeds CAT6 ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standards. Our Shielded CAT6 Indoor/Outdoor Cable is also manufactured to meet current CAT6 guidelines and is verified by outside standards organizations such as: c(ETL)us as well as being RoHS Compliant. Additionally, all cables contain a cable ID alpha numeric code imprint on the jacket every two ft.

Solid Wire: also called solid-core or single-strand wire, consists of one piece of metal wire. Stranded wire is composed of a bundle of small-gauge wires to make a larger conductor and more flexible than solid wire. Solid wire is generally used for in-wall wiring where there is little need for flexibility in the wire.
CMR: The 'R' in CMR is for 'Riser'. Riser type cables are engineered to prevent the spread of fire from floor to floor and are suitable for vertical shaft applications.
CMP: The 'P' in CMP is for Plenum. Cables meeting type CMP requirements are suitable for installation in ducts and plenums without the use of conduit. These cables are designed for fire resistance and low-smoke and toxin producing characteristics.
CMX: The 'X' in CMX is for Outside Plant. Cables meeting type CMX requirements are suitable for installation in outdoor applications where exposed to the elements.
