CAT5E 110 Connecting Block
These Connecting Blocks, work directly with the CAT5E 110 wiring block by interconnecting two different cables. One cable may be directly terminated on the wiring block and then covered and secured by a connection block. The connecting blocks have the capability of creating a higher number of possible terminations on the 110-wiring block. The IDC terminals on top of the connection blocks and the terminals on the bottom of the connecting blocks allow for connectivity between the two cables. These Connecting Blocks are found in 5-pair clips and can significantly improve the number of connections the wiring block can hold. Connecting Blocks and 110 Wiring Blocks are commonly used between patch panels and power outlet boxes.
Connecting blocks make the electrical connection and mechanically secure the pairs to the wiring block. Attached to both the top and bottom of the connector blocks are metal IDC-style connections.

The 66 block is quite common in modern phone systems, as it simplifies connecting multiple phone lines. The 66 block is also referred to as B-blocks, M-blocks, and split-50 blocks.
